Lots of EFL links
There are a lot of sites for EFL (English as a Foreign Language) and ESL (English as a Second Language) learners. Here are a few.
Practice hint: if you are using the internet in English and something is difficult, try working with a friend (two people on one computer). You can help each other understand.
BBC - Learning English. Lots of good learning activities.
English Central has short videos with activities. Preview the words to the right of the video. Then watch the video once. Pay attention to the underlined words. The watch/listen again and try to fill in the right words. Then try a pronunciation activity. After a few videos, you'll need to register -- but it is free. Choose your level: Green circle = easy. Blue square = average. Black diamond = challenging.
Ken Schmidt's Resource pages for students. Ken teachers at Fukushi University and at MG on Fridays. There are lots of links on his page.
Curtis Kelly's podcasts. Curtis teaches at Kansai University. Curtis is especially interested in emotion and brain science. His podcasts have great stories.
Activities for ESL/EFL students. Quizzes and other tasks
Many things for ESL/EFL students.
If you use a SmartPhone, here are Learn English Apps from the British Council.
Dave's ESL Cafe. Click "Stuff for Students" in the top center.
MG students use English Firsthand in EC classes. Have you noticed all the learning links at the efcafe.com? You can watch videos and movie trailers, make key pals (internet pen pals), and do other things in English
